Going to dr this morning... Nervous. update... :(

edited April 2014 in GP Moms
Hey girls. I have my dr appt today and I am nervous. I took another test this morning, to see if the line is any darker, and it is actually lighter than a couple days ago... So I am freaking out a little. I go in like 2 hours and am praying for good news and great numbers. I don't even know what kind of appt this is, since I told them that I wanted to get in to get my numbers checked.. SO we will see... I am trying not to worry, but it is really hard.. Happy thoughts happy thoughts... xoox

  • How far along are you? Did you test again just in case that one was wonky? I'm crossing my fingers for you!

  • Good luck!

Reasons the line may be lighter:
    1) pee was less concentrated
    2) poor QC with tests
    3) you're crazy and your eyes are playing tricks on you

I think I would be like 5w tomorrow, but not positive... I don't have anymore tests. I have been testing everyday so I used them all up. I don't know, I am eall

  • Stupid nest... I took the test as soon as I got up this morning, so I thought that the line would be darker. I am hoping the test was bad maybe. I am really hoping for good news. FX prayers bigtime... Also, I was curious, will they check my urine to see my betas and will I get results today? I mean, I don't have to wait do I? Like I would for a blood test? Aye, nerves. I wish these 2 hours would hurry up

Betas are from a blood test. My RE had me do a urine test to confirm, then drew blood to get my starting numbers. Typically, if you can get in in the morning, they should have the results back that afternoon. I don't remember where you are, but if it's later in the day there, then prepare yourself to not get results back until tomorrow morning. GL!

  • Awww crap really? :( Well my appt is at 10:50 pac time, I'm in California. I don't wanna wait.. Waiting is killer

  • You should be good then, as long as I was in before lunch time they were always able to get mine back the same day. Also keep in mind that the first draw really is just a starting point, which will tell you if you're pregnant, you'll need at least one or two more draws to get an idea of what's going on.

  • Well she didn't see anything at the office. negative and no lining, but she said it may be too early. Went and took a blood test. Then I went to the store and bought two different kinds of the early tests and they both came back negative... :( This so sucks..

  • When will you get the blood test results back? The digis are not as sensitive as the other tests, though, and the blue dye tests are kind of notorious for not being accurate. I've still got my fingers crossed for you.

  • Oh Cloudy, I'm so sorry you're going through this!

FWIW, at barely 5 weeks, the doc couldn't see anything for me either; she said there might have been something, but it looked more like possible residual tissue than an actual pregnancy. She didn't mention how my lining looked. All that was before I got my 1st betas (which naturally confirmed things, thankfully). All that to say, it can be REALLY hard to tell by u/s if there's anything there before betas reach a certain point.

And I'm seriously praying that the 2 tests you took after your appt were negative because you weren't using FMU, but I know that's slim reasoning once you're actually past your missed period. :(

((hugs)) Please keep us updated when you're able.
